The cooperation methods of electric vehicle charger manufacturers on the market are actually not so fancy tricks. The essence of all cooperation is based on the division of resources between both parties. One party has equipment, technology, and production capacity, while the other has a venue, network, and local resources. Different combinations form different cooperation models.
The most common method is to directly purchase equipment. Simply put, it means that the partner pays for the electric vehicle charger themselves, and the manufacturer is only responsible for production and supply. After sales maintenance should be done during the equipment warranty period. The subsequent site docking, power installation, equipment installation, and daily operation are all the responsibility of the purchaser. This approach is suitable for partners with sufficient funds and operational teams, where all revenue is their own and there is no need to share profits or losses with the manufacturer.

Next is the most hassle free revenue sharing cooperation, which is also the most widely implemented model currently. Throughout the process, there is no need for the cooperating party to pay for the equipment. The manufacturer provides electric vehicle chargers and is responsible for equipment maintenance and technical issues in the later stage. The cooperating party only needs to provide a suitable venue and cooperate to complete the power connection. The charging service fee generated by the operation of the site shall be shared in a predetermined proportion by both parties. This model has almost no upfront investment, extremely low risk, and is suitable for individuals or enterprises who have idle land and property resources, do not want to invest costs, and only want to earn stable long-term income.
There are also cooperation methods for regional agents. The manufacturer will grant regional permissions to partners with local resources, and the agent can build, promote, and operate electric vehicle chargers within the designated area. The manufacturer is responsible for supply and technical support, while the agent earns profits by expanding the site and connecting resources. This model has a relatively high degree of freedom and mainly relies on local channels and resources to make money. It is suitable for partners who are familiar with the local market, have government, enterprise, and property resources.
There are also many candidates for the equipment leasing model. If you don't want to invest a large amount of money in purchasing equipment at once, you can rent from the manufacturer and pay the rent monthly or annually. The property rights of the equipment have always belonged to the manufacturer, and daily malfunctions and repairs are the responsibility of the manufacturer. The partner only needs to manage the site and daily basic management, with low pressure and high flexibility. If they don't want to do it later, they can directly terminate the lease or pay the full cost to buy out the equipment.
Finally, there is OEM customization cooperation. Some companies have their own brands and sales channels, but do not have electric vehicle charger production factories, so they will look for manufacturers to do OEM work. The manufacturer produces equipment according to the customer's parameters and appearance requirements, affixes the customer's own brand, only charges production and processing fees, and does not participate in subsequent site operations and revenue sharing. This type of collaboration is mostly at the enterprise level and rarely involves individuals.
In fact, there is no need to worry about choosing a cooperation mode, the core depends on one's own conditions. If you have money and a team, you can purchase and operate on your own; If you have a venue but no money, you will split the revenue; If you have local resources and want to do long-term marketing, then become a regional agent. Adapting to one's own resources and abilities is the most suitable way of cooperation.
