1.1. Definition: CHAdeMO (CHArge de MOve) is the commercial name of the ev fast charging standard, developed by the Japanese EV Fast Charger Association (CHAdeMO Association), which aims to achieve high-power DC power transmission through specially designed plugs and communication protocols, thereby improving the charging efficiency of electric vehicles.
1.2. Background: The CHAdeMO standard was first proposed in 2010 by an organization of the same name composed of five major Japanese car manufacturers, mainly to solve the problem of charging electric vehicles for long-distance travel.
2. Technical features
2.1. High power transmission capability: The CHAdeMO standard supports charging rates of 62.5kW to 400kW (version 3.0), which can greatly shorten the charging time of electric vehicles.
